XU opens first-ever virtual XU Festival Days

The University kept the momentum going as the Xavier University Festival Days (XUFD) celebrated its opening day virtually on Dec 2.

At 1:30PM, the XU Grade School launched a webinar talk titled, Supporting Mental Health Resiliency in this Time of Pandemic, via Facebook live. It was hosted by Dr. Charito Ferrer RGC.

At 4PM, the XU Immaculate Conception Church held the wreath-laying ceremony via Facebook live. This was followed by the opening mass in honor of St. Francis Xavier. The mass was celebrated by University President Fr. Mars P. Tan.

By 5:30PM, outside the XU Immaculate Conception Church, the ceremonial lighting of trees and the blessing of the belen took place. The ceremony was presided over by Tan, together with select XU faculty, staff, and Central Student Government (CSG) officers.

In the evening, Puhon Festival Night, a Performing Arts Night with the XU faculty, staff, and alumni artists, streamed via Facebook live.

#XUFDPUHON will continue until Dec 5.
